Note: Membership Renewal, Update Your Membership Data, Quarterly Newsletters, List Your Books in Our Online Bookstore (all listed below) require a Discussion Board account.
Critique Groups: St. Louis Writers Guild announces the launch of a unique initiative to establish Cycle Critique Groups for its members. These groups are genre-focused and located throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Led by moderators in rotation, they run for 10 weeks, during which each member sets goals and works intensively to advance a specific writing project of his/her own choosing. You must be a member of SLWG to participate in a Cycle Critique Group. Registrations for Cycle One are now closed, but Cycle Two is slated to begin in April. If you would like to participate, you must complete the Critique Groups Questionnaire.

Please take a look at the current opportunities listed in this document and let us know which ones interest you! Then take a look at our Member Recognitions Program (below) to see how we’ll reward your contributions!
Member Recognitions Program: SLWG offers every member an annual opportunity to be recognized and rewarded for his or her contributions toward St. Louis Writers Guild’s successful achievement of its mission. Members use a form to note their attendance of Guild and other area literary events (Attendance is a very important contribution!) and track many other contributions they make as the year progresses. There are so many ways to help, and everything counts! On an annual basis (in December), the SLWG calls for submission of the Self-Nominations form in order to recognize its Significant Contributors. Among them, those members whose contributions have risen to the level of exceptional are honored as Members of Distinction for the following calendar year.
Speakers Bureau Listing: Some of our members offer lectures, workshops, and seminars and are invited to promote these services in our Speakers Bureau. Members, follow the instructions on the page to get yourself listed.
Professional Services Listing: Some of our members offer professional services that are helpful to writers, including writing and editing, legal services, marketing services, website design, and other services. Online Bookstore Listing: Our members who have authored books may list them for sale in the SLWG Bookstore. Books listed there will be automatically linked to Barnes & Noble for sales because we are a Barnes & Noble affiliate. Books that are not available through Barnes & Noble can be linked elsewhere. Members whose books are listed in our online bookstore may promote the link for sales to others. SLWG will also promote the books in the online bookstore.
